This hands-on, workshop-based learning experience is created by educators for educators. This is not a traditional sit-and-get conference. Our goal is to give you tools, guidance, and time to dream, discover, and design your way to a new model of learning. It is project-based. It is inquiry-based and passion-based. It is authentic, grounded in your real-world.

I attended this conference in the past. What will be new or different in 2022?
Although the topics will be similar, the content will be refreshed for the current educational landscape. As always the workshops are created by educators, for educators, and will continue to be grounded in relevant and current work with students. Expect to see opportunities for authentic connections, DV school site tours (including our TK-8, College & RISE sites) and opportunities to experience DV signature practices.
How is Da Vinci working to keep its campuses covid safe?
Da Vinci Schools is aware that any scenario in which many people gather together poses a risk for COVID-19 transmission. Therefore, students, staff and visitors should note what health practices will be in place in Da Vinci schools as required by our local County Health Department. These practices are essential baseline actions in order to minimize transmission of COVID-19.

COVID-19 mitigation strategies on campus may include but are not limited to re-configured spaces, floor markings, and staggered student entry times as well as measures to ensure infection control such as a wide range of increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols and extra hand washing and hand sanitizing stations. Students, staff and visitors are required to self-screen at home and stay off campus if experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. Students, staff and visitors are required to wear masks indoors if they were a close contact to a COVID-19 positive person in the past 5 days. It is strongly recommended to use masks when in large groups indoors regardless of exposure or vaccination status.

Report back to Da Vinci Schools if you develop a COVID-19 infection and were on campus in the past 14 days.

Da Vinci Schools continues to implement our COVID-19 Safety Plan and has a COVID-19 compliance team that ensures all elements of CDC, state and local health department guidance are integrated. The above mandatory measures are subject to change.

For current quarantine, isolation, and other COVID-19 FAQs please see here.

ATTENDEE TESTIMONIALS

Games, fun, and positivity ... this came in the following day's staff meeting with "student celebrations". I am so glad I attended that! Very different from other schools that focus on failure, rescue, discipline etc. I saw no hand-wringing, only enthusiasm and mutual support.
These educators know what they are doing. They're not out to convert you, but they are energetic, practical and realistic. It's refreshing to be told straight up where the pitfalls lie and that you don't have to follow a particular theorist or think tank to the letter. This is usable knowledge, hands-on training, and proven examples. I would want to work at this school and send my kids here. -- Andrew Taylor, Vistamar
Appreciate rubrics, techniques and the invitation for future collaboration in beginning this work.
The positive culture among staff -- everyone did a really good job of being proud of their work without proselytizing; they did not suggest everyone MUST do this, nor even that it is the BEST way to teach; they just shared their work generously and enthusiastically.
